Long Tailed Weasels in Weaselhead
According to this February 17/11 Calgary Herald article, by Eva Ferguson:
“Dahlseide says the area is also home to dozens of unique wildlife species, including the endangered long-tailed weasel and trumpeter swan.”
The first weasel that I have ever seen was right in the heart of Weaselhead. It was a long tailed weasel that had turned white before the snow, with only a little brown tip on its tail, on November 1, 2010. It would be great if we could find a way to protect them.
